God's Daily Words: Three Phases of Action | Section 13
All the work done to complete the six-thousand-year management plan is now coming to an end. Only after all these works are revealed to man and performed among mankind will mankind know the disposition of God, what He is and what He has. When the works of this phase are fully completed, all the hidden things not understood by man will have been revealed, all the truths not previously understood will have been clarified, and the human race will have been told about their future path and destination. This is the work to be done at this stage. Although the path that man walks today is the path of the cross and the path of suffering, the practices of man today, the things he eats and drinks and enjoys today are vastly different from what came to man under the law in the age of grace.
What is asked of man today is unlike what was asked of man in the past, and unlike what was asked of man in the age of the Law. What was asked of man under the law when God was doing His work in Israel? Nothing but that man should keep the Sabbath and the laws of Jehovah. No one should work on the Sabbath or break Jehovah's laws. But not so now. On the Sabbath, man works, gathers, and prays as usual, and no restrictions are placed upon him. Those in the age of grace had to be baptized, and they were asked to fast, break bread, drink wine, wear veils, and have others wash their feet for them.
Now, these rules have been abolished, but even more demands are made of man, because the work of God grows ever deeper, and man's entrance reaches a higher place. In the past, Jesus laid his hands on the man and prayed, but now that everything has been said, what is the point of laying on hands? Only words can achieve results. When He laid hands on man in the past, it was to bless man and heal his diseases. This is how the Holy Spirit worked then, but not now. Now the Holy Spirit uses words to do work and achieve results. His words have been made clear to you and you must obey them as they were told to you. His words are His will; Those are the things he wants to do.
Through His words, you will understand His will and the things He tells you to achieve, and you can obey His words directly without any need for laying on of hands. Some will say, Lay your hands on me! Lay your hands on me that I may receive your blessing and share in you. All these are outdated practices from the past, now obsolete because the age has changed. The Holy Spirit works according to the age rather than being inconsistent or conforming to set rules. The age has changed, and a new age brings with it new action. This is true at every stage of action, so His action is never repeated.
In the Age of Grace, Jesus did a certain number of works, such as healing sickness, casting out demons, laying hands on man to pray for him, and blessing man. However, it would be pointless to do so again today. The Holy Spirit acted that way at that time because it was an age of grace, grace sufficient for man to enjoy. No penny is asked from him, and if he has faith, he will receive grace. Everyone was treated very graciously. Now that the age has changed and God's work has advanced;
Through chastisement and judgment man's rebelliousness and the impure things within man are removed. Since that stage is the stage of redemption, God wanted man to be redeemed from sin, to forgive his sins through grace, to show grace sufficient for man to enjoy, and so to act. This present stage is to expose the unrighteousness within man through chastisement, judgment, scourging, as well as discipline and revelation of words, so that mankind may then be saved. It is a deeper work than redemption. Grace in the age of grace was sufficient for man's enjoyment; Now since man has already enjoyed this grace,
